Adam Nazir Ahmed Teladia Adam is currently a student studying Politics and Social Policy at the University of Wolverhampton and lives in Birmingham. Having been born in Birmingham Adam attended a local primary school and then a local secondary school. After completing his GCSEs Adam went to a Josiah Mason Sixth Form College in Birmingham and completed a GNVQ in Media: Communications and Productions. After two years at College Adam left Birmingham and spent sometime living and working with his family in Lilongwe, Malawi. After almost a year in Lilongwe, Malawi Adam returned to Birmingham and enrolled to study A levels at Josiah Mason College. Upon completing his A levels started studying Politics and Social Policy at the University of Wolverhampton. In February 2003 Adam joined the Liberal Democrats and is currently the Training Officer for West Midlands Liberal Democrats and Membership Secretary of the Liberal Democrat Agents and Organisers Association. Previously Adam has been a Local Party Officer, West Midlands Regional Policy Committee Member, West Midlands Regional Executive Member, English Council Member, Devolution and Local Governance Policy Working Group Member and Better Governance Policy Working Group Member. From 2003 to 2005 Adam was also involved in the Liberal Democrats Youth & Students (LDYS) Adam has been West Midlands LDYS Executive Member, LDYS General Executive Member, NUS Committee Member, Policy Committee Member, Vice Chair Communication (Job-share) and Conference Committee Member. In the past Adam has also been Chair of West Midlands Millennium Volunteers Youth Forum, Network Officer for West Midlands Area NUS, Steering Committee Member for Birmingham Unite Against Fascism, Organiser of Westminster Day and Secretary & President of Josiah Mason College Students Union and Executive officer at the University of Wolverhampton Students' Union. Along with the Liberal Democrats Adam is also a member of CentreForum, Electoral Reform Society, European Movement, Republic, United Nations Association and Unlock Democracy. Adam is also a supporter of Elect the Lords, Fairtrade Foundation, Make it an Issue, Make Votes Count, People & Planet and Votes at 16 (UK). Adam's interests other then his education and politics are Comedy, Reading and TV.
