Global vote picks Seven Wonders12.02.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 24th Jul 2007 I was just reading Global vote picks Seven Wonders and looking at In pictures: New Seven Wonders of the World which reports that Chichèn Itza (Mexico), Christ Redeemer (Brazil), Machu Picchu (Peru), Petra (Jordan), The Great Wall of China, The Roman Colosseum (Italy) and The Taj Mahal (India) the Seven New Wonders of the World. Some of the more prominent sites which missed out include the Eiffel Tower (France), Kremlin (Russia), Statue of Liberty (USA), Stonehenge (UK) and the Sydney Opera House (Australia). In August 2006 I said that I had narrowed my list down of possible future holiday destinations to Saudi Arabia (preferably 2008), Malawi & South Africa (preferably 2009), India (preferably 2010), United States of America (preferably 2011), Australia (preferably 2012), Israel/Palestine (preferably 2013), Jordan (preferably 2014), Egypt (preferably 2015), New Zealand (preferably 2016), Russia (preferably 2017), Japan (preferably 2018)and Morocco (preferably 2019). If I do get to travel to all the countries I mentioned about then I should get to see two of the Seven New Wonders of the World, Petra (Jordan) and The Taj Mahal (India). Other then Petra (Jordan) and The Taj Mahal (India) the only other places on the list Seven New Wonders of the World that I am interested in seeing are the Christ Redeemer (Brazil) and The Roman Colosseum (Italy), given how travelling to Italy is not that difficult or expensive that maybe something I get a chance to do before I get to go any of the countries on wish holiday list.
