Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

People may have recently seen adverts on Channel 4, More 4 or E4 advertising Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip as coming soon. I first saw an advert like that back in September 2006 so when earlier today I found out that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip will be on More 4 starting at 10pm on Thursday 26th July I was really pleased to find that soon for channel 4 was now soon for me too.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is a drama set behind the scenes of a comedy TV series created by Aaron Sorkin and produced by Thomas Schlamme. Aaron Sorkin was the man behind A Few Good Men, Sports Night, The American President and The West Wing along with other things. The Cast of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip includes Matthew Perry as Matt Albie (Chandler Bing of Friends) and Bradley Whitford as Danny Tripp (Josh Lyman of The West Wing) but from what I have seen so far of the clips on the NBC website I thin Sarah Paulson's character Harriet Hayes will be interesting.

I am a great fan of The West Wing and really enjoyed watching Sports Night so am hoping that Aaron Sorkin has not lost his talent of great TV writing. On Sports Night and The West Wing Aaron Sorkin worked with Thomas Schlamme who was the producer for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. If Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is anything like Sports Night and The West Wing then it should have a great script. I know that the show didn't enjoy the greatest reviews and viewing figures in America so maybe Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme have used up all of their talent.

There have been many rumours that show has been cancelled and that a second series will not be produced, however I am still waiting for series one to start.
